Students and staff now have access to all attendance marks as they go onto our system at around 10:00 and 3:15 for am and pm sessions respectively. The system highlights any unexplained absences that require a note and provides an explanation of all absence codes.
Students only have access to their own attendance detail but staff can access all students data. Please keep an eye on this and monitor your/your child's attendance regularly to ensure that you/they have the best chance of succeeding at school.
Current governmental guidelines suggest that above 95% is good attendance and anything below 85% is very worrying. 85% attendance means that half a term is missed during a full school year.
Students can also compare their attendance with their peers in a pictogram simliar to the one below:
